I’ve been meaning to visit Brands Hatch for a long time, so since I’d just passed my GCFE exam I thought I’d head down to Kent for a relaxing day of racing at the Formula Ford Festival.
It’s the last Friday of the month, which means it’s time for an off-topic post – this time on How to Build a Car by legendary Formula 1 designer Adrian Newey – a book that’s just as much a history of the sport’s recent regulatory changes as it is an autobiography.
For this month’s off-topic post I thought I’d give an update on my PC project and a review of my new graphics card – the Asus GeForce Dual GTX 1060 O6G – which I’ve now been using for about a month after splashing out last payday to complete my build… for now.

I had big expectations for Muse: Drones World Tour after 2013’s excellent Live at Rome Olympic Stadium. I wasn’t expecting a Hullabaloo beater, but I would have been happy with a solid rendition of the album’s tracks and older singles against the unique backdrop of the arena tour’s “in the round” setup and 360-degree Drones-themed experience.
